Two Hartford Employees Fired for Not Cooperating with Investigation

Return to New York Insurance Broker Fraud news on SSEM.COM

According to the Wall Street Journal, Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. dismissed two underwriters because they were not cooperating with New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's insurance industry investigation.

In a company statement by Joshua King, "our conclusions that these employees failed fully to cooperate with the New York Attorney General gives us no alternative but to part ways with them."

The company would not provide details about the employees that were dismissed, but according to the Journal both were underwriters in the property-casualty operations of the company's Los Angeles office.
